16 Sep Ten Year Overview of Hamilton Real Estate Prices
The beginning of 2016 was exhausting and confusing. An incredibly low supply and unnaturally high demand created market chaos.
I was writing offers all over town, only to show up to offer presentations with thirty other agents and leaving empty-handed, only to start the search again tomorrow.
The buyers were particularly frustrated. Imagine buying your first home in those hectic, hyped conditions.
The bombastic headlines and outlandish statements by agents of “one hundred thousand over asking price” did not help.
Now, mid-summer, I am starting to see properties with price reductions, more listings hitting the market, and inventory sitting for a couple of months, particularly in the investment property sector.
Hopefully this translates to a more moderate market; good for both sellers and buyers.
